Eminent Liars

“Living is easy with eyes closed… Misunderstanding all you see”: John Lennon (Strawberry Fields Forever).

That is normal for folks like us, isn’t it? We aren’t smart enough so we live easy and misunderstand all we see. But what about those who are charged with fact-checking and bringing the truth home? They don’t misunderstand they are ‘Eminent Liars’, to borrow the phrase from Arun Shourie. “Love has this nasty habit of disappearing overnight” that’s another Lennon line I like singing for NDTV; the masters at lying and deception. Their website pages disappear overnight.

Arun Nehru of the Nehru clan died at 69. He was the one who broke away from Rajiv Gandhi to join VP Singh back around 1989. So Gandhi-clan doormat NDTV in their eagerness to lick another boot produced a story claiming Priyanka Vadra’s son Rehan lit his funeral pyre. (Remember she is still a Vadra and will become PriyankaG once elections are announced). The page now shows this:

Oops! NDTV did it again! The problem is not screwing up. The problem is lying big and retracting small. No wait, NDTV never retracts and apologises. Their love just disappears. Here’s what they first reported:

Someone tells me bad financial performance forces NDTV to get rid of people and produces haste and a lack of fact-check. They can seek comfort in the fact that Times of India wasn’t far behind. They too reported PriyankaV’s son did the final rites. What will they not do to glorify the generosity of the Gandhis? After other papers correctly reported that Arun Nehru’s grandson Akhil did the final rites, some deleted their pages and some remained. But no one retracted or apologised. But that is TOI’s criminal nature after all. Put the “Rambo Act” on the front page with screaming headlines and retract 21 days later in a small corner in page 8 or 9.

Is that all for the week? No, not at all, we just got lucky. There’s this Eminent Politician allegedly called Amartya Sen who seems not too happy with Narendra Modi and seems to have made some uncharitable remarks about him. Why the surprise? When the others got tired and needed a break, they just sent in an old clown. Matter not! So it seems in retaliation Chandan Mitra of the BJP not only asked for Sen’s Bharat Ratna to be withdrawn but his party branch in Gujarat came up with something more. Some alleged Gujarat BJP Facebook page allegedly put up a nude pic of one alleged Nandana Sen who is allegedly the daughter of alleged economist Amartya Sen. That is bad, eh? That is hitting below Sagarika’s brains.

Delighted as they were some media morons jumped in joy to again find something to beat the BJP with. Among the “eminent” ones who latched on to this was S. Varadarajan, alleged editor of The Hindu. You all know I fondly call him Varadabhai. You and I misunderstanding is normal, we are made like that. But what does it say about a paid editor who tweets like a moron to slam the BJP citing a fake pic of Amartya’s daughter. What is Varadabhai paid for? To misread and misunderstand? Oh you see, when it comes to BJP fact-checking is not part of their job. They are licensed to LIE. The site that put up Nandana’s pic was a fake site and probably the property of the dirty-tricks department of eNREGA. And moron’s like Varadabhai gleefully fell for it. Varadabhai didn’t bother to cross check with any BJP office, which is part of his job. The BJP IT cell then put out this letter:

But Varadabhai wasn’t the only fool. We had another ‘Eminent historian’ (this time a direct quote from Shourie) allegedly called S. Irfan Habib. Indian History’s lies and inaccuracies owe a small debt to the likes of Habibs. So another Habib joins the battle too and slams the BJP and “Modi Bhakts”. If I were you I would take anything this bimbo says with a truck-load of salt. (I was corrected and told this Habib is different from that Habib). Now another Irfan Habib has been recorded to have introduced a plagiarised work of history by a writer in Arun Shourie’s book “Eminent Historians”. So to say that guy is a “history-sheeter” would be apt considering he’s a historian. Not just that, this Habib is also one of the gangs of “eminent historians”. There are those who provided testimonies in the Ramjanmabhoomi case where all just quoted each other with no first-hand research and with no supporting evidence. The Allahabad High Court trashed them too. Says a lot for this Habib’s sense of fact-checking and history, doesn’t it?

All is not lost and all is not bad. If Habib can spread untruths there is someone who is always there to beat the whole lot hands, legs and feet down. There’s our Category 5 moron who unfailingly wades into anything that can help her hate BJP or hate Hindus or hate Hindutva. Oh she doesn’t have to fact-check either because she is allegedly the Deputy Editor of CNN-IBN which has a reputation of hating anything or anyone connected to Hinduism. So there! It wasn’t a bad week after all. There was the Rs.12 and Rs.5 meal nonsense. There was the “Tanch Maal” by Digvijaya Singh which our media concluded was a “tribute to a woman”. There were toilet-cleaner-liquid bottles thrown outside Manish Tewari’s residence in Chandigarh. And everyone slammed the Planning Commission for its definition of poverty. But the winners this week were clearly the eminent liars, who lie big and don’t retract.

  1. I will be delighted if some TV panelist on NDTV or CNN-IBN reply the bimbos in this manner, i.e for every question from a TV bimbo, the reply should start with "I am obliged to come on your show hosted by a 100% Tanch Maal like you and now a 100% Tanch Maal like you has asked me this question, so and so the reply to this very interesting question is ...blah blah..ipso facto...fact of the matter.......some more blah blah...and so here this concludes the answer to the question which was indeed raised by 100% tanch maal like you. <---This would be kind of square.

  6. I think there should be legal readdressal in such cases. Likes of Vardhabhai and Sagarika professional journalists who don't fact check and report malice should be made accountable. Some people should sue. Watchdogs like mediacrooks or newslaundary are currently the only recourse

  8. Glad these lies were exposed! But am left wondering at how many more lies had got away uncorrected, and the number of truths that may have been obliterated by these paid morons and bimbos?

  11. The CHAPRASI media's blind and " AT YOUR FEET" attitude towards anything linked to the Gan*u family was evident when Arnab Goswami, in course of the debate on the Minority Affairs Minister comment on the very existence of Indian Mujaeedin. Arnab Goswami, to please the "Gan*u PARIVAR" spontaneously said " why doesn't Sonia G sack this Minister" to be CORRECTED BY SUBRAMANIA SWAMY who stated that " It is NOT Sonia G, BUT THE PM WHO SHOULD SACK THE MINISTER" That is the CHAMCHA GIRI of the CHAPRASI MEDIA.

    1. The PM MMS has no power to sack even his peon what to talk of a Minister . It is SG who wields the stick. S.Swami is technically correct but ground reality is what Aranab sensed and that is why he is ANCHOR.

  13. As NaMo so often says, it is 'roji roti' for many people.By this he is the most compassionate and generous leader in the world. Even in the USA the senators use the Modi Visa issue to win brownypoints.Let us not throw mud into their daily meal.Let us, the right thinking politically savvy section of the society henceforth attach a disclaimer to all our replies to tweets and reports by these paid media morons that THANKS, BUT OUR VOTING PREFERENCES REMAIN THE SAME.It will help save quality time for us as well as them.Heard that Beaf eater tipped over last week by using the 'f'off word in a tweet responding to a paid media accusation and Big B reprimanded him. Wonder how MC missed it.

  14. A consequence of sensitivity to initial conditions is that if we start with only a finite amount of information about the a system, then beyond a certain time the system will no longer be predictable. This is most familiar in the case of weather, which is generally predictable only about a week ahead - this is a tiny part of famous chaos theory.

'LIE' - a perfect example of that with a difference. You start with a small lie and for a short time it will be manageable. After a certain period of time one thing will be predictable that, you will lie but your lies will not be manageable anymore.

UPA and its allies (99% print and electronic(news!!! Channels) media, secular(!!!) People and Intellectuals) are facing the similar problem.

  15. Another sexy one... true to the core and by now we are habitual of these LIES, shameless attitude of paid media and these allegedly "Intellect" creed who leave no chance to target BJP and never bother to check the facts...Keep writing cos we don't wan't to miss anything...

  19. Similar attempt to gain media traction was done by Congress dirty trick department for another site which was actually a borrowed idea from us. Yes Narendramodi plans site. They tried to peddle lie that this site was pulled down by Narendra Modi fans. By this the wanted to convey that how Narendra Modi fans are intolerant. And guess who wast their Media Partner? Yes you are right the same one who alleged that during Anna Hazare agitation Anna supporters attacked Police officer on duty and tried to kill him. Well, I do not like Anna madness due to it's idiotic ideology, but this is how Congress and Paid Media tars the image of their opponents.

Another lie they often throw at the Internet Hindus is that they are abusers on online media and how they are intolerant. But they often forget to tell audience that they can always block abusers on Social Media if they feel so. Or for that matter they can report to the police authorities. On the contrary they give exposure to a proven serial abuser like Gangadharan in their show. The problem with MSM is every day, every second their lies and biases are exposed on Social Media, they want to white brush the entire technology that is challenging them as never before.

  20. Ravinar, I hold you responsible for spoiling my evening entertainment. Ever since I started reading SM, especially your posts,I just can't watch MSM channels, the likes of NDTV, CNN-IBN etc. I can now detect their lies and agenda so fast that I switch off the TV immediately and then don't know what to do for the rest of the evening. But, actually I want to thank you . You have saved me from remaining a fool like I was.Keep up the good work.

  21. I think one day Rahan Vadra will become "Rehan Gandhi" overnight. Why all this confusion? Robert Vadra should become Robert Gandhi. That's full (ab)use of Gandhi's name in full circle by Nehru family. ;)

  22. Thanks RAVINAR you are genius i want to share a joke with media crooks's fan:......
Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi, happen to be lost in a desert. After days of walking without any
water or food, they noticed a Mosque. Rahul said: "I will walk in saying that my name is Mohamed,
and you say that your name is Ahmed, this way we'll get some food! I have done this before too.
we can easily fool them. Deal?" Modi: "No, I am a Hindu Nationalist.I won't change my name I will
stick with my name." They walked in. Maulavi asked who are you? Rahul Gandhi: "My name is Mohamed." Modi: "I'm Narendra Damodardas Modi." . . . Maulavi: "Modiji ko pani dijiye aur khana khilayiye aur Mohamed Miya, Roza Mubarak"

  23. Hey Ravi,
I tweeted you with a Screenshot of Namita Bhandare (@namitabhandare) damning Hindutva for the fake FB page and alleged Morphed pictures of Nandana Sen. Does she have any right in the world to use derogatory remarks against Hinduism for some foolish's act... Even if it was done by BJP IT cell folks(In this case not done by them) can she use the remarks and generalize followers of Hinduism?

  26. Who are the grand children of Arun? Do not want to cast any wrong aspirations on Arun, but let us not forget that in 60-70s lot free s$x was practiced by Gandhians. So answer to my question is not simple. After all did not MK Gandhi advised Kerala women to give in and allow Muslim men to rape them if situation arose? So free sex and sex under duress is a true Gandhians way.

  28. There is no`Indian' media as such. This is `foreign' media working to destabilize the country and offering it a plate to foreign forces. They have the backing of Christian lobbies and work for them only. So what a true citizen has to do is educate the fellow citizens how to tackle this liars. The way to tackle these morons is
    * Don`t take any thing which is reported in the media seriously.
    * Consider them as the agents of anti India forces.
    * Don`t form opinions on the basis of these lies propagated by media.

  29. Every Indian media is engaged in one or more of the following exercises. One: Survival (Congress is where the money is. Yours and mine and of the poor of India). Two: Establishing "secular" credentials to match the Indian Police by letting Moslems get away with murder and coming down heavily on Narendra Modi. Third: By establishing claims to "fair and balanced" reporting i.e. for every article on a Congress crime, inventing or cooking up some Narendra Mod crime, which, if not serious enough, will be modified through the "Indian" Whisper. The Hindu is no exception. Wake up and smell the paan.
